Knowing whether any of this worked means measuring what shipped against the goals it was funded for. Most portfolios never do. Nothing is proven to have worked, so nothing is ever stopped, and the list only grows. Problems in production drift until someone complains. Learn closes that gap. Someone owns each result after release, so a problem reaches a person whose job it is to respond. What you learn becomes planned improvement work, not a wish list. And the portfolio gets a clear call on each initiative: scale it, sustain it, or retire it, with the reasoning written down. That call goes back into the next Align decision as evidence. It is the part most organizations skip, and the reason the loop is worth running at all. Module 4 of the course walks you through how to run it, with a case study to follow.
